Oxfordshire Suzuki dealership comes under new ownership

One of the first Suzuki dealerships opened in the UK has come under new ownership. Nick Allen, who had been dealer principal at Sportif Suzuki for 17 years, bought the business from the previous directors, John Miskin and John Boardman.

Allen will run the business in partnership with his wife, Annie Allen, who will be involved with company accounts.

Speaking about their new acquisition, Nick Allen said: “Annie and I were offered a lifetime ambition when the directors agreed to us purchasing Sportif Suzuki. Having run the business for almost two decades it didn’t take me long to convince Annie.

“The site has been a Suzuki franchise since 1979. It was one of the first to open and today there are 152 dealerships in the UK. This is an incredibly exciting time for us and the dealership as it has clear plans for growth.”

Sportif Suzuki is located in Long Hanborough, Oxfordshire. The site comprises a new car showroom, used car display for 22 vehicles, a fully-equipped workshop with MOT facility, a parts department and a valet bay and wash pad.

The site further includes a petrol station and forecourt shop.

There will be no changes to the staff at the dealership. “There will be no additional tier of management and no senior changes will be made,” said Allen.
