Job Description

Discipline: Mechanical Fitter

Location: Ratcliffe-on-Soar, Nottingham

Rate of Pay: £14.18 - £28.36/hr PAYE

Hours: 40hrs/week Mon - Fri + overtime

Start date: Immediate

Duration: Temp to Perm

The Role:

Our client has a requirement for additional Mechanical Fitters on a power generation site in Ratcliffe-on-Soar, Nottinghamshire. The role will involve supporting operations on site by ensuring all mechanical plant and machinery is maintained and repaired. Duties will include:

* Observation of plant operations to identify and address faults

* Carrying out examinations and inspections of all mechanical equipment, plant, machinery etc

* Carrying out planned maintenance as per schedules and repairs where necessary

* Operating FLT's and site vehicles in accordance with training and H&S requirements

* Ensuring all H&S measures are in place and completed, such as hazard reports and SBSU conversations

* Operating workshop equipment and tools

* Undertaking training as and when required to allow for full flexibility

* Being available for call outs as part of a call out rota.


* CCNSG card

* Mechanical Apprenticeship or similar training experience

* Manual Handling certificate

* Any fabrication / welding experience an advantage

* FLT license an advantage

* Flexible approach and adaptable to changing conditions

* Strong team player with the ability to work independently and on own initiative

* Good communication skills

* Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

* Positive attitude to safety

* Tolerant of diverse working situations and conditions
