This is an opportunity for an Electrical Fitter to work for a successful company which specializes in train servicing, maintenance and overhaul, providing large maintenance facilities. The company is part of a large multi-national with a workforce of over 50,000 employees. You will be working on a project making improvements to trains before they go back into service. You will focus on the electrical aspect of a planned refurbishment project working on various components. As an Electrical Fitter, you will also be required to do general maintenance and repairs such as lighting, plug sockets, CCTV, PIS and DAS. There will also be fault finding and testing as part of the role.
The Ideal Candidate
You are an experienced Electrical Fitter with extensive work history in electrical maintenance and fault finding. You must be trained to NVQ Level 3 or full apprenticeship. To be considered for this role, you will have a strong Rolling Stock background or experience in aerospace, automotive, defence, FMCG or Forces (REME) will also be considered.
A proven background in rolling stock or transportation engineering within an electrical discipline (minimum Level 3 qualification or full apprenticeship required). Vehicle Building experience will be a bonus. We require reliable and hard-working Electrical Fitters who are able to commit to a variety of working patterns. You will also be required to attend and pass a medical test.
Rate of Pay
£20 per hour
40 hours per week
