Salary: Up to £26,000 Basic OTE £30,000 Per Annum

Motor Trade Jobs / Automotive Vacancies: Experienced Workshop Controller Required for Commercial Main Dealer - Hull

Our client, an established Commercial Vehicle Workshop in the Hull region, is currently recruiting for an experienced and professional Workshop Controller for their busy Service Department.

Your objectives are to control the flow of work through the workshop to maximise Technician utilisation and to ensure Technicians are working efficiently, develop a customer oriented and profitable workshop, provide a high level of customer satisfaction and achieve all KPI's as set out by the company and manufacturer.

Key Responsibilities:

* Receive job cards from service reception and allocate work to Technician to maximise available resource
* To ensure maximum technician efficiency
* Labour hours sold against budgeted monthly targets
* To monitor and update workshop loading to maximise sold hours
* Ensure service reception is constantly updated on workshop progress.
* Obtain authorisation for any additional work either through service reception or by direct contact with the customer.
* Ensure service reception is constantly updated on workshop progress.
* Quality check job pack in line with audit standards and deliver to admin team in a timely fashion
* Responsible for scanning job cards
* Drive workshop performance to achieve top quartile within manufacturers league tables
* Ensure all job extensions are properly authorised
* Ensure quality control procedures are carried out
* Control KPI Performance in: CSI - MOT pass rate
* Ensure correct completion of Visual Health Check process
* Comply with all Health and Safety regulations
* To liaise with the Technical Specialist regarding potential training needs within the workshop

In order to be eligible our client is looking for candidates with previous strong and stable Workshop Management experience and preferably someone from a technical automotive background that has previously trained as an HGV Technician. You will also need to be administration orientated due to stringent brand standards of our client's manufacturer and the amount of audit documents involved.
