HR Owen appoints Nokia director

HR Owen has appointed Chris Harris (pictured) to the newly created role of marketing and customer director.

The appointment is part of the London based luxury group’s strategic overhaul which was announced in May.

Harris is currently Nokia’s global brand & marketing strategy director. He has been with Nokia since 2004 and has overseen a revamp of the mobile brand’s marketing strategy.

Harris’ time at Nokia also included four years as the global marketing director at Vertu, Nokia’s luxury mobile phone division. He previously worked for 3 UK, Thomas Cook and Proctor & Gamble Health & Beauty Care.

Harris’ main focus at HR Owen will be to lead customer relations and customer communications. In addition he will be responsible for the group’s new digital strategy.

“Chris has significant senior level experience of marketing at both a strategic and operational level. He will bring high level leadership and help us to drive our industry leading ambitions. In particular, his experience of digital technology and customer relations in a luxury market will bring a major contribution to HR Owen’s growth ambitions,” said chief executive, Andy Duncan.
