Job Description

Group Financial Accountant This role is a key bridge from finance into the business ensuring that daily transactions are timely and accurate and hence maintaining the integrity of the accounts.  They are responsible for treasury management which is a business critical process, managing the credit control team and provision of receipts, also auctioning payments and controlling the purchase ledger This include management of the transactional teams and assistant accountant to service the group with timely inputting and communications, resolving queries which may arise They will be responsible for the control environment relating to these processes to ensure timely and accurate postings to the general ledger and then reliable reporting.

Act as the point of contact for Group Finance relating to transactional issues, managing any internal and external stakeholders. Business partner with the department managers with all related transactions and controls Duties include  Manage the Purchase ledger with timely posting of invoices and payment, maintaining control of disbursements. Manage the Sales ledger team to ensure the timely receipt of cash and the management of any aged debt. Produce the monthly sales and purchase ledger reconciliations and analytics on ageing. Administer the EPQ Credit control system and ensure queries are resolved to improve any aged debt. Ensure the banks are posted and reconciled to ADP on a daily basis. Produce the detailed monthly cash forecast and update weekly to report to Head of finance and BVH. Manage the assistant financial accountants and their development. Support the Head of finance with the statutory reporting. Work with the Group management accountant to provide the monthly accounts. and commentaries including balance sheet reconciliations and accruals.

Support in projects to improve efficiencies within the team and wider business and also ensure the existence of a robust control environment. Take responsibility for the timely collection of cash and payment of suppliers with effective management and business interaction. Provide analytics on the transactional ledgers and produce the weekly cash forecast which is pivotal to the group operation. Produce the draft statutory accounts and lead the statutory audit.
