£46,000 OTE Depending on experience

We are recruiting for a brand-new car dealership opening near Gatwick. This is a fully franchised main dealer with a brand currently performing very well in the automotive market, and the dealership will be under the ownership of a successful and well-regarded dealer group.
My client is looking for an Aftersales Manager with previous experience at main dealer level, with any manufacturer/brand, who is looking to develop their career and take on this exciting challenge of starting a business from scratch. We are tasked with sourcing a candidate who can bring enthusiasm and energy to creating the aftersales team and bring success to the department relatively quickly.
The ideal candidate will be passionate, professional, target-driven, customer-focused and have a good commercial awareness. The role involves managing a team across the Parts and Service department, operating at the highest standards, coaching and developing the team to reach target
As the dealership is completely new, we are looking to recruit experienced motor trade staff across the Surrey area with a minimum of 2 years experience within an Aftersales Manager/Service Manager role.
The main responsibilities of the Aftersales Manager are to organise the service activities to ensure the department’s efficient and profitable operation. As part of a busy main car dealership aftersales team you will also be responsible for:
- Managing a team of Technicians, Workshop Controller, Service Advisor's and Support staff
- Effectively market and sell Manufacturer's service plans and warranties, labour hours, parts, accessories, lubricants, subcontracted service to maximise profitability
- Dealing with any customer issues and complaints
- Monitoring and working to monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
-Maximise commercial opportunities, monitoring customer needs to maintain high levels of customer service
Our Client is looking for a customer-focused Aftersales manager with a strong technical understanding, as well as current or very recent experience within the retail motor industry at Management level of at least 2 years.
