Accounts Assistant

Job Description

This position may suit someone with some accounts experience at a Junior level.

To ensure accurate accounts are produced and assist the accounts department to ensure all deadlines are met.  To perform month end tasks including accruals, prepayments and reconciliations within deadlines set. To reconcile and control assigned balance sheet accounts. To maintain and control the asset register. To input vehicle and other purchase ledger invoices. To reconcile supplier statements. To analyse vehicle control accounts and liaise with Sales Admin department to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner. To reconcile and clear warranty control accounts.

To prepare and submit assigned Head Office reports. To provide cover for other members of the accounting team including performing banking duties, purchase ledger registration and time recording at other sites. To perform ad hoc projects as and when required. To keep filing up-to-date. Other duties as and when required. Key requirements are to possess a calm and even temperament. Be able to work as part of a team. Be able to communicate effectively with colleagues across all departments. To work accurately and efficiently to meet targets and deadlines. Confident Excel and IT skills would be an advantage
